Like magic, new ExpressionEngine add-ons are appearing all the time. Like rabbits out of a hat:
The handy ol’ CSVee plugin for EE1 (used to export data from a query on a template into CSV format) looks like it’s been updated for EE2 in the form of the new AJW Export add-on. Looks dead simple to use and can be very useful for getting information out of your EE database.

From the shores of this balmy private island on which I live, I bring you this week’s add-on bounty:
OK, so there was only one new addition this week. There are still almost 900 more for you to peruse at devot:ee, any time you wish. A random favorite of mine is Publish Tweeks, which removes the “Quick Save” and “Preview” buttons when publishing. The key part for me is that it also cancels the redirect to the preview after saving, keeping the user on the edit screen. This is very handy when you’re making small changes and updates and saving frequently, and it works well if you’re using Live Look.

This week’s new additions, bringing the list of ExpressionEngine add-ons to a staggering 887 items (for comparison, there were about 300 add-ons cataloged in early 2009):
This week we’d like to point out the impact some of the CodeIgniter developers are having on ExpressionEngine. Two new EE2 add-ons, Rest by Phil Sturgeon and Backup by Thomas Myer are some of the most viewed, most talked about, and most purchased add-ons this year. It’s great that these developers can spend time creating useful things for EE2, now that it is built on CodeIgniter. Let’s hope we see more from these guys in the near future. Nice work.

This week’s additions to the ever-growing list of add-on awesomeness:
This week we’re Dribbbling (or is that Dreebbbling?) all over ourselves about two add-ons that utilize dribbble’s API: Dribbble (for EE1) and Dreebbble (for EE2). Almost sounds like we have Trouble with Tribbles. If you are into the Dribbble scene and want to display shots on your ExpressionEngine-powered site, consider trying out either of these new free add-ons.

This is the 108th installment of the Weekly Devot:ee. Wait, no it’s not, but it is the first installment where Ryan Irelan has given Ryan Masuga access to post these all on his own. Thanks!
You may have noticed that in addition to the list of newest add-ons, I’ve started doing a brief Featured Add-on to bring a little attention to those add-ons that are either extra cool or may have been overlooked. With that, on to this week’s entries:
Featured Add-on
An interesting free add-on that may have been overlooked last week for EE1 is Tim Kelty’s Field General, which “lets you assign multiple field groups to any weblog/channel”, thereby allowing you to “reuse and share sets of fields, rather than having to duplicate them for each channel.” This sounds a lot like Brandon Kelly’s Gypsy, but it allows you share fields between MSM sites, and you can control the order of fields per weblog (with drag and drop goodness!). Check it out as an alternative to Gypsy.

Brought to you by our friends at devot:ee:
Featured Add-On
This week we’d like to bring your attention to the new Rest module by Phil Sturgeon. This add-on allows you to integrate RESTful API’s into your ExpressionEngine 2.0 (and 2.1) sites. You can list tweets, search for Digg articles, show off Flickr pics and interact with any open RESTful API. People far wiser than I have said great things about this new add-on. It is the hottest add-on on devot-ee this week, and also a top seller. Congrats on a fantastic add-on, Phil!

Attention comrades!
It is time again for us to join together and celebrate another week of awesome EE add-ons. Now, for the list!
My favorite? Rest by Phil Sturgeon. So sweet.
At ease!

Your weekly dish of delicious devot:ee links is ready:
Enjoy and come back for seconds.

A light week on the EE add-on front but still some goodies in there, like Thomas Myer’s Backup module for EE 2.
Thanks to Ryan Masuga and Jacob “I actually do all of the work” Russell at devot:ee for putting this list together.

We missed last week because of the EECI conference but the devot:ee team is back this week with a list of the latest additions to the World’s Greatest Index of ExpressionEngine Add-ons.
Thanks to Ryan Masuga and Jacob Russell for putting this list together each week. *high five*

It’s Thursday and time for the latest additions to everyone’s favorite EE add-on index: devot:ee.
My thanks to Ryan “Is this mic on?” Masuga for supplying this list to EE Insider every week.

We’re backed up a couple of weeks on the latest add-ons, so here’s a longer list to make up for it.
Thanks to Ryan “Satriani” Masuga for taking a break from shredding and sending over the list.

Here are the newest additions to the devot:ee add-on index for the last week of April:
Have a great weekend!
